About Me

Daniel S.C. Sutter

A 2025-27 Stegner Fellow at Stanford, I hold a Ph.D. in fiction from Florida State University and an M.F.A. from the University of New Orleans Creative Writing Workshop. My story collection Like Always Blooming has won the Press 53 Short Fiction Award and is forthcoming May 3, 2026. My work has appeared in The Greensboro Review, The Mississippi Review, The Carolina Quarterly, BOOTH, Fugue, Fiction Southeast and has been awarded the Robert Watson Literary Prize in Fiction and  named a finalist for the Iowa Review Fiction Award, the Robert and Adele Schiff Award in prose, and others.
